We’re excited to introduce the Open-Source Library at WordCamp Philippines 2026—a brand-new experience coming to Contributor Day that celebrates the people behind open source.
Inspired by a format first introduced at WordCamp Asia, the Open-Source Library creates a space for meaningful one-on-one and small-group conversations with experienced WordPress contributors and community members. Instead of attending a talk or workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with an Open-Source Book and learn from their journey, experiences, and insights.
More than just code
Open source is about more than writing code or completing contribution tasks. It’s about collaboration, mentorship, community, and the stories that inspire people to contribute. Whether you’re curious about getting involved with WordPress, looking for guidance, or simply interested in hearing someone else’s perspective, the Open-Source Library offers a welcoming space for thoughtful conversations.
The experience is open to all Contributor Day attendees, whether it’s your first WordCamp or you’ve been contributing for years. Everyone is welcome to listen, ask questions, share ideas, and learn from one another.
Stay tuned for our list of “Books”
We’re currently preparing our lineup of Open-Source Books, and we’ll be announcing them soon. Each book will bring unique experiences and conversation topics, giving attendees the opportunity to learn from different perspectives across the WordPress community.
