This is your perfect opportunity to get involved. Whether you’re into coding or prefer non-technical ways to contribute, this event has something for everyone.
At WordCamp Philippines 2026 in Iloilo City, Contributor Day is designed to be a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone—whether you are completely new to WordPress or an experienced contributor. You don’t need to be a developer to participate. There are many ways to get involved, and there will always be people ready to guide you.




This is a full day dedicated to collaboration and hands-on learning. You’ll meet contributors from across the WordPress ecosystem and work alongside developers, designers, writers, translators, and community builders.
Whether your interests are in code, design, documentation, translations, accessibility, testing, training, support, or community building—there’s a place for you here.

Who Can Join?
Everyone is welcome!
Whether you’re a first-time attendee, a curious learner, or a long-time contributor, you can join Contributor Day. No prior experience is required.
- New contributors will receive guidance from experienced team leads and community members.
- Returning contributors can reconnect, collaborate, and help others get started.

How to Register?
To join us on the Contributor Day, you need to purchase the WordCamp Philippines 2026 ticket first. The type of ticket doesn’t matter. Without this ticket, you won’t be able to attend the Contributor Day.
Contributor Day is free for ticket holders, but it requires separate registration. Slots are limited to the first 250 registered participants only.

Ways You Can Contribute
There are more than 20 Make WordPress teams working on different parts of the WordPress project. When registering for the Contributor Day, you will be asked which team(s) you would like to join for the Contributor Day.

If you are interested in more than one team, or want to spend some time in more than one team, that is fine too! Select multiple teams on the registration and decide later.
You can also join different teams, such as:
- Core – Work on WordPress itself: features, bug fixes, testing, and releases
- Documentation – Improve guides, handbooks, and learning resources
- Polyglots – Translate WordPress into different languages
- Photos – Contribute to the WordPress Photo Directory
- Training – Create tutorials and learning materials
- Test – Help with testing, bug reports, and quality assurance
- Support – Assist users in forums and improve user experience
- Community, Design, Marketing, and more

A table lead at a Contributor Day is an experienced community member who guides and mentors a specific team—such as core, translation, or design—helping new and returning participants set up tools, find beginner-friendly tasks, and collaborate effectively throughout the event

To make it easier to find your team on Contributor Day, we’ve grouped related Make WordPress teams together around the room.
Use the table layout below as your guide when you arrive. Teams that often work closely together—such as Core, Core AI, Core Editor, Core Performance, Test, and Accessibility—are seated near one another to make collaboration easier throughout the day.
You don’t have to stay with one team for the entire day. Feel free to explore, meet other contributors, and join another table if you’d like to learn something new.
