WordCamp Philippines 2026 is bringing together the national WordPress community for the first time on August 28–29, 2026 at the Iloilo Convention Center.
While the main conference offers two days of focused learning, insightful discussions, and meaningful networking with your fellow WordCamp peers, the experience continues beyond the venue walls through our Community Side Events.
What are Side Events?
A WordCamp side event is a community-organized and -led activity designed to help attendees connect in a more relaxed, informal setting. Whether you are a developer, designer, SEO and content creator, entrepreneur, or just one for building new connections, these Side Events are the perfect opportunity to build lasting relationships with fellow WordPress enthusiasts while you’re in Iloilo City!
Common side event categories include:
- Community Meetups and Networking Dinners.
- Guided Walking Tours of Iloilo’s heritage sites.
- Outdoor Activities, Sports, and Fitness.
- Creative Activities and Nightlife

Guidelines for Submitting your Side Event
If you’re interested in submitting your event to us, we encourage organizers to adhere to the following guidelines below:
1. Accountability
The organizer is fully responsible for:
- Event content and format
- Venue arrangements and logistics
- Attendee safety and overall experience
- Compliance with the WordPress Community Code of Conduct
Note: Side events are not official WordCamp Philippines events but can be organized by anyone attending the conference who would like to set up a get-together. The organizers of these events agree to adhere to the Code of Conduct, and WordCamp Philippines organizers are not involved in organizing these events. For special requests such as accessibility needs, dietary requirements, etc., please reach out to the event organizer directly.
2. Side Events Should be “Complimentary” with Official WordCamp PH Schedules
In other words, the attendees would appreciate the scheduling of your side event if you plan it around WordCamp Philippines rather than going against it. We believe there’s room for everyone on WordCamp week!
Side events must not overlap with official WordCamp Asia 2026 sessions.
