WordPress, as anyone reading this might already know, is a very friendly platform to small businesses. Heck, we can even argue that its most popular services–many of whom have sponsored this very event itself–became popular precisely because they’re being used by the local mom-and-pop shop as much as the multinational company next door!
That’s why we’re happy to announce that, for this particular iteration of WordCamp Philippines, we’re keeping that do-it-your-way ethos alive by choosing two local businesses based in this year’s host city, Iloilo, as our Local Partners!
For the context of this year’s WordCamp PH, a Local Partner is a small-to-medium business that is deeply integrated into the functions of the communities they serve.
Each of these businesses, as you’ll see below, serve unique purposes within their respective communities. Read on to know what makes them very special to the people they are serving!
Book Lattè Library & Art Space
While this cafe has been in operation for around 15 years and more, it was only during the COVID-19 pandemic where the space has been known by locals as a gathering spot for the creatives and those who just feel that creative mood.
While it boasts a “library cafe”, Book Lattè also hosts book clubs (and even book swaps!), art exhibits, and community meetups with various types of organizations ranging from the tech, startups, creatives, and nonprofit communities. In other words, if you have an idea brewing (pun intended) in your head, then you’re welcome here!
Book Lattè is graciously giving exclusive discount vouchers of 10% off for WordCamp attendees. Just show your WordCamp badge at their flagship shop at Festive Walk, which is just a short eight-minute walk from the Iloilo Convention Center. (They’re also open 24 hours a day. Cool eh?)
Lastly, Book Lattè also happens to host two community meetups on WordCamp Philippines week. Go to our Side Events page to read more details on those meetups, as well as other related events that will be happening on this week!

Kahimuot Brew
Iloilo City’s coffee culture has largely existed independent of the fancy coffee chains and the third-wave cafes before the turn of the millennium. Kahimuot Brew , in particular, happens to be one of those shops.
Just this year, the new owners have managed to revive the brand by incorporating “upscale” coffee products meant to be experienced by regular people just going through their everyday errands. Indeed, choosing their new spot just outside of a public market is a very intentional choice.
Kahimuot Brew will be setting up at the Sponsors’ Hall of WordCamp Philippines on Aug. 29!
If you’re curious to experience the liveliness of the local market culture here, you can visit their shop at the Jaro Small Market in Barangay Simon Ledesma. You can visit their Facebook page for more details!
It’s the stories behind these businesses that make Iloilo City such an interesting “community city” for WordCamp Philippines. See you on Aug. 28 and 29, 2026!
