FAQ
If your question isn’t covered here, feel free to reach out by email.
We welcome all topics related to WordPress and beyond. WordCamp Philippines is built around a diverse lineup of speakers bringing value to a broad audience — so if you have something worth sharing, we want to hear it.
Not sure where to start? Here are some categories to consider, though you’re welcome to apply outside of these:
Accessibility, Artificial Intelligence, Business, Content Creation, Community, Careers, Design, Development, Marketing, Writing
We are planning the following formats across two tracks:
- Long talks – 40 minutes total (30 mins for talk, 10 mins for Q&A)
- Lightning talks – 10 minutes total (talk only, no Q&A)
Each schedule is one hour. Sessions take up to 45 minutes, leaving 15 minutes for attendees to switch tracks, grab coffee, and connect with others.
We recommend English, as we’re expecting international guests, sponsors, and attendees. That said, we’re open to a talk or panel in a local Philippine language if the topic is compelling for the audience.
WordCamp Philippines 2026 is the biggest WordPress conference in the country, so some speaking experience is recommended. Presenting to a large audience can be a lot, even for seasoned speakers.
Previous experience doesn’t have to be at a WordPress event. Please include at least one video link to a past talk in your application.
If you haven’t spoken at a WordPress event yet, your local meetup is a great place to start.
A few things that make a strong application:
- Be clear and specific about what your talk covers
- Highlight your experience with the topic
- Outline the key points you plan to discuss
- Include any visuals or resources you plan to use
The Call for Speakers closes on May 20, 2026. Make sure your application is in before then.
Up to two. We know you might have more ideas, but keeping it to two helps us review applications properly. Submit your best work!
If both applications are selected, we’ll ask you to choose which one you’d like to present.
Applications are submitted through Google Forms. You’ll receive a copy of your submission with an edit link via email. Make sure the email address you use is valid.
No. Selected speakers receive a complimentary ticket to attend the event.
During the event, we may need to activate a backup speaker due to unforeseen circumstances. Let us know in your application if you’re open to it.
Opting in doesn’t affect your chances of being selected as a main speaker. It simply helps the program team know who’s available if needed.
Ready to speak at the biggest WordPress conference in the Philippines?
We’re looking forward to your application.
