Venue guidelines
If you’ve received your camper’s pass from MiGs,™ you’re in! Those of you who are attending only the morning sessions, please make sure you’ve signed up to let us know.
[UPDATE]
We’re working closely with CSB’s Computer Business Association and the Association of Information Management, who’re going to make sure the campers will have enough power outlets at WordCamp. (Still, it wouldn’t hurt to come prepared with a fully-charged battery!)
CSB has in-house WiFi, which we will be able to use. In addition, SmartBro has come on board as our Internet sponsor. We expect people to bring laptops, palmtops, PSPs, WiFi-capable mobile phones… Hopefully, we will have enough bandwidth for everyone!
Here are a few guidelines from the College of St. Benilde:
- As you may well know, the De La Salle system is strict on security. They have requested for a list of expected participants, and we will be providing the college administration with this. So please make sure you bring a valid ID.
- For those of you who will bring notebook computers, you will be required to fill out a form. This is done for your own benefit, to help prevent unwarranted misappropriation of valuable property (…”theft” is just so disgusting a term, no?). However, this might cause a bottleneck at the CSB entrance. So here’s the plan: If you are going to bring along a gadget bigger than your cellphone or PDA, please use the form below to tell us about it. We will create a master list of devices to declare so that you won’t have to fill out forms manually at the building entrance on WordCamp day.
- CSB won’t impose a dress code, but slippers are a definite no-no.
The equipment ingress form is now closed.
